Hanby and Barrett have been producing large scale community and site specific theatre across the Midlands for nearly a decade. Our work has been commissioned by local councils, arts festivals and even the Church of England and has built up a reputation for combining intelligent and witty text with visual spectacle and innovation. We have involved hundreds of members of the local community in our work and have stimulated artistic practice in towns and villages which has often continued long after we have left.

As well as setting fireworks off inside churches and cathedrals; taking over the whole of Nottingham Train Station, (including the P.A. system to the bewilderment of many travellers); and creating shows and festivals which have turned entire villages and towns into theatres, we also work as consultants and advisors for agencies that want to create and deliver ambitious outdoor events.
