Sustainable Textiles and Fashion: Strategic Lifecycle Design Thinking
By Becky Earley, designer and Reader at the University of Arts, London
This dedicated 'design thinking' workshop is aimed at small to medium sized businesses, with particular focus on the design, fashion and textiles industry. It takes the themes raised in the earlier lecture (see previous event details), and develops them, asking, do business processes and practices need to change in order to create a more creative approach to sustainable issues in this sector?
The workshop offers participants the opportunity to discuss and examine their working practices, network with other delegates, and consider incoporating change. Phil Harfield, Project Manager of Future Factory, will also be available to discuss how the Future Factory project can fund and support regional SME organisations through their own journey towards improved sustainability.
