Future Factory: Green Marketing Workshop
Aimed at Small and Medium Sized Enterprises in the region, this workshop will be of particular value to any organisation with a product or service to market.
11.30am - 12.30pm: THE STEPS TO BEING GREEN
Assim Ishaque of EnvirUp.com (www.envirup.com) will provide the context for the event, demonstrating the factors which contribute to the environmental impact of your product.
12.30pm: BUFFET LUNCH (INCLUDED)
1pm - 5pm: PURE GREEN: A GUIDE THROUGH THE GREENWASHING MAZE FOR BUSINESS (by Lisa Jackson of Eurydice PR (www.eurydicepr.com)
The workshop will include topical themes and examples for participants to discuss and guide business representatives through the 'maze of greenwash' and help them to make their companies greener and more sustainable, whilst making them attractive and newsworthy to the mainstream press, as well as niche ethical media.
As well as this, Lisa will show delegates how to write their own press releases, how to deal with the media professionally and effectively themselves and how to secure and work with an external PR agent.
Bringing her knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to the event, Lisa will give advice on how businesses can become more sustainable througha series of examples, case studies and hands-on activities in a fun, interesting and practical way. Participants will receive extensive material to take away with them to help them start or continue their own PR activity and inspire them to share their business and vision with the press and the general public as well as their target markets.
Lisa Jackson is a writer and PR consultant for consumer and trade businesses in the eco/ethical arena. Lisa has almost 20 years' experience in marketing, PR and advertising, the last 7 of which have focused purely on the world of the environment and ethics. A member of the Ethical Junction, Green Sisters, Wise Women and Green Collar Women, Lisa's experience and network of individuals and businesses in the world of green is extensive and highly exciting!
