Notts' digital music-making talent gets a chance to shine
CDR is back in Nottingham seeking digital music makers of all styles, acoustic, electronic, fusion, hip-hop, drum 'n' bass, folktronica or the downright unclassifiable.
Established figures from Nottingham's electronic music scene are set to come together to support digital music makers from across the region with a night of musical collaboration- CDR East Midlands, at Muse 9 Broad Street, Nottingham on 2nd April (9pm-2am).
The free event is being organised by creative gurus burntprogress to give an opportunity for all kinds of digital music makers to showcase their talent to their peers in a club environment. Anyone can simply come along and hand in their own CDs on the night, to get their tracks played live and loud to an audience of like-minded music makers.
Also in attendance- playing their works-in-progress and on hand to give support and advice- will be Nottingham-based producers and DJs Red Rack'em (aka Danny Bearman), Lone (aka Matt Cutler), Keaver & Brause, Beane Noodler and Spam Chop.
The night is part of CDR East Midlands, a two-year project, supported by Arts Council England, which is bringing together new community of digital music makers to network and collaborate across the region, with events in Nottingham, Derby and Leicester.
More events will follow this year in Nottingham at Muse on 25th June, 23rd July and 22nd October. For more information contact cdrw@burntprogress.com
