CDR Nottingham puts call out to digital music makers to come out from the underground and get music talent heard.
CDR, a night of ideas and tracks in the making is running three more events in Nottingham in June, July and October to track down the very best DJs and digital music making talent across the East Midlands.
Following the success of the last Nottingham event in April, the next free CDR night will be taking place from 9.00pm to 2.00am on Thursday 25th June at Muse on Broad Street, Nottingham. DJs and music producers wanting to take part and get their own tracks played on the night in front of a growing audience of music makers, industry professionals and music fans just need to bring a long a selection of their own tracks burnt on CD.
Playing the tracks on the night will be Tony Nwachukwu and Gavin Alexander, the burntprogress masterminds behind CDR with DJ sets from local Nottingham-based DJs and music producers on rotation, including Danny Berman aka Red Rack'em, Lone, Keaver & Brause, Beane Noodler and Spam Chop.
Along with fellow organiser and DJ Gavin Alexander, Tony Nwachukwu from (Mo'Wax) Attica Blues's fame who has worked with the likes of Macy Gray, UNKLE, The Cinematic Orchestra and Ben Folds, will also be on hand to provide advice to budding music makers on developing music careers and new digital music technology.
Bringing together a new community of digital music makers to network and collaborate across the region, the nights in Nottingham, Leicester and Derby are based on burntprogress' hugely successful CDR night at London's Plastic People - twice nominated 'best Club' on Radio 1's Worldwide Awards - as well as other cities across the UK and abroad.
