From Romania's second largest city, representatives from Timisoara including its Mayor visit Nottingham to share with you opportunities under development. Romania benefits from EU funds now invested in to developing and restoring key urban infrastructure.
Projects under Development
Projects under development demand the highest quality of expertise in project planning, design, management and construction. East Midlands companies have the opportunity to discover the opportunities before anyone else and pitch their expertise to the decision makers involved. The regeneration of several key sites in Timisoara will preserve its history and modernise other infrastructure with the help of EU funds. These include:
- Bega banks and waterside areas - pathways and bicycle lanes, green and open spaces, improvement of recreation and entertainment, access to the water, pedestrian and traffic bridges, functional renovation of industrial buildings and introduction of public transport
- Public spaces in the historic centre of Timisoara - streets, green spaces, urban furniture and squares of historic buildings
- Urban transport management - such as signage
- Neighbourhoods and tower blocks
- Bastion 'Theresia' old defensive walls
