The Television Workshop presents 'Our House'

A fateful decision to run or face the music. Joe Casey's life will never be the same whichever pathway he chooses. But which version of his story will win the girl?

OUR HOUSE is an upbeat award-winning musical featuring the songs of Madness, including favourites My Girl, It Must Be Love, Embarrassment, Baggy Trousers and, of course, OUR HOUSE. Jointly presented by Nottingham's legendary Television Workshop with designs from Nottingham Trent University, it features some of the region's top young talent.

The Television Workshop is a vital part of Nottingham's creative landscape. Since 1983 it has developed and trained young people through drama workshops, providing a resource for stage, screen, radio and new media. It is consistently considered the first port of call when seeking fresh talent to feed the UK Television and Film industry - from independent production companies to mainstream broadcast organisations.

The Workshop has been awarded the Royal Television Society Midlands award, The British Film Institute Children's Awards for its contribution to childnren's programming, and the special award from the BAFTA Children's Committee in recognition of its outstanding development of young talent for film and television. In 2007 Eliot-Otis Brown Walters won the Breakthrough Talent award at the Children's Baftas.

The Television Workshop has won through twice in the National Theatre Connections project, performing at the Cottesloe. They have also had substantial casting success with lead roles in most of Shane Meadows' films, Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, Dive, Skins, The Sarah Jane Adventures, The Bill, Casualty, Eden Lake - and in their patron Samantha Morton's directorial debut The Unloved.

They have an ongoing creative relationship with the Nottingham Trent University whose Theatre Design students are responsible for the set, costumes and lighting of OUR HOUSE

Now a charity with support from the BBC and EM Media, the Workshop is currently auditioning for new talent. Apply online on the website www.thetelevisionworkshop.co.uk or call 0115 845 0764 for further information.
