NewsNews: Young Creative Awards 2010 - EXTENDED CLOSING DATE!
01/04/10
The Young Creative Awards were successfully piloted in April 2009 to attract up and coming talent in the city and put young people aged 14 - 22 on the creative map. The 2009 theme was Nottingham 2030, and we received some highly innovative entries from young people, about their own personal vision and hopes for the future of the city. in 2010, the Young Creative Awards them will be Sport in Nottingham, and the brief will call for entries which explore the creative industries' vital input into the world of sport, from architecture and interior design, to fashion, product design, graphics, music and writing. A prize will be awarded in each category, plus a prize for the overall Young Creative Person of the Year 2010, who shows the most ambition, focus and potential to make a positive impact within the creative community in Greater Nottingham. It is hoped that we can offer industry-related prizes in 2010, which enable aspiring young creative people to further their careers. All awards have been supported and sponsored by a wide range of public and private sector companies ranging from Nottingham Trent University through to Paul Smith and Speedo. The closing date for entries is 14th May 2010 and we are currently marketing the awards through college and university networks and through partners such as Nottingham Contemporary and Confetti.
